The Utility Boxes Project
My illustration “Flourishing” was selected to participate in Limerick's Urban Exhibition: The Utility Boxes Project, organised by Draw Out Limerick and supported by Limerick.ie, Limerick Culture and Arts Office, Limerick City Build - Regen Ltd.
These Utility Boxes will then be added to Limerick Street Art Trail, a street art map that highlights all of Limericks Urban work.
This piece was created on iPad, with stylus pen and Procreate app.

SVITLO/ LIGHT Art exhibition / Auction
Organised by Moya Ni Cheallaigh.
I donated my artwork “Sew the Remnants”, a digital illustration that was printed and framed for the event. After the launch/Auction day my piece was sold and 100% of the sales and auction from the event went to support The Irish Refugee Council's that work with Ukrainian refugees.
Over 85 artists connected to Limerick, donated their artwork and over €50,000 was raised and donated to The Irish Refugee Council.
This piece was inspired by the Gunadule Indigenous group that lives on the border between Colombia and Panama. The women of this group create amazing textile pieces called 'Molas'.
"Women wear the Molas on their blouses as a sign of their ethnic identity and as a way of protecting themselves from external threats and uniting with the spirits that created the world". (Book: 'Molas: capas de sabiduría'. Autors. Clemencia Plazas Uscátegui, Meyby Ríos Cárdenas y Héctor Andrés García Botero. Editorial Bogotá: Banco de la República. Museo del Oro).
I have been investigating more recently about my roots and culture in Colombia and I always have found 'Molas' fascinating as a piece of art.
I have a couple of handbags with this type of textile and I completely admire the women who create them with love, time and dedication, with wonderful strong colours, organic and geometric shapes. They use each piece to represent their own beliefs, sewing remnants to use them in their ceremonies.

"Sew the Remnants" Is a reflection on myself over the years. I have put different pieces together to become an artist and try different mediums, to build my knowledge and creativity. I hope with this exhibition we have contribute a little bit to Ukrainian families to put their lives together again.

Tittle: "The Act of Popping Bubbles"
Printed on Old Mill Premium White 300gs
Artwork: 12"x12" (Visible image in the frame) Frame size: is 16"x16"
"The Act of Popping Bubbles” was created to symbolise all the battles we have in life, how deeply we get to know ourselves and how our courage wins one by one of these battles.
We have to burst out our bubbles to become the person we truly are.
All our waves of feelings and emotions constantly scare us to keep going, but when we are out there, performing our best act, believing in ourselves, gaining confidence, learning more about our deep call for life, then we can finally be. So when we are ready we can battle the rest of things our society has wrongly established in the past to make our present and future even better and more fair to everyone. Popping our bubbles is a true act of love.
Tittle: “Opening Wings”
Artwork: 16”x12”
Frame size: 20”x16”
Butterflies transform from different shapes and stages during their life, they go through metamorphosis and then become a beautiful, colourful and elegant creature. But this isn’t the only perception we can attach to their transformation. I think we, as humans, change in life while we are growing up and while we experience different circumstances and we transform into unique creatures with a baggage of good things and others not so great and we have to learn how to live with that baggage. However we have the opportunity to understand and work deeply in ourselves to make a change or find the way to approach the things we are not so great at.
We have to care about our mental health, work on it, learn from it, find support, listen to others, open and listen to our feelings, understand changes and more importantly believe in ourselves.
We are capable of so many things and we have to work hard towards the things we love the most, our dreams, our goals in life and become the person we want to be and open our wings proudly and beautifully, showing our light and beautiful colours.
ABC for Mental Health Green Ribbon Art Exhibition
This was my first year participating on this Art Exhibition and was very exciting to be part of it. I created my piece "Opening Wings" and my artwork was focused to bring up a positive approach for my mental health.
Amanda Clifford has been organising this exhibition for about 13 years and as she said on her invitation to participate in the event: "We believe art is a form of communication, even when we do not have the words. Our Art Exhibition is open to artists from all backgrounds - male or female, old or young, whether professional or not. We should all be aware of our mental health no matter who we are. As humans, we share commonalities - biology, birth, death, love & self-awareness. As each individual is unique, so too is each piece of art. Each time we see an artist's piece - regardless of their culture, sex or age - we get an insight into how that artist sees the world. No matter how one sees the world, we all want the same thing - to be listened to, understood & loved."
This Exhibition was held in The Treaty City Brewery in Limerick.
Culture Night
At The Colombian Embassy in Dublin, was a wonderful experience and a great success! We had over 200 visitors, enjoying Colombian coffee, Empanadas, Lulo juice (a fruit from Colombia). I was one of the vendors invited. Was fantastic to chat to to new Colombians arriving to Ireland to study or work here! Also visitors from different places interested in our Country and Culture.
I was happy to talk and see people buying Colombian music, beautiful and funky socks and crafts from amazing Colombian entrepreneurs ladies, and of course I was so happy to be able to sell my illustrations on the night to so many people!
