I am originally from Colombia and have been living in Ireland for 13 years. Mom of a 7 year old boy, Luke and married to Ken Coleman (An amazing Irish Artist).
About four years ago, I was looking for something to help me relax and disconnect from my busy work life and motherhood. I started to practise different creative techniques like watercolour, macrame, and digital illustrations. My busy routine was taking over, and it was hard to find time to include this new creative way of self-care in my day.
My need for creation was growing so I decided that I wanted to take it more seriously and help my mental health and to upgrade my artistic and crafting skills. At the same time, I felt that I wasn’t sufficiently confident in my ability to empower my creative side again.
I work hard towards making time to create every night (or most of them to be honest) and thanks to my husband and son for their patience, support and encouragement I was able to hone my skills. Bit by bit I have begun to dedicate more and more time to my own creative process, and I am delighted with how all this year has been for me! See some of the art exhibitions I have been to this year.
My professional experience is mostly as a Graphic Designer in branding and wedding stationery and in the last couple of years, I am focusing more on digital Illustration and surface pattern design. I also love mixing different artistic mediums, to create and express my own thoughts. You can see some of my work here.
I get inspired by nature and especially flowers. I also love to illustrate food and organic shapes.

Creating and learning new skills every day is a self care approach I use for my mental health and to improve my potential as an artist.
Using different mediums in my work, help me to experiment and create new results, like using watercolour, scribbling with markers, doodling shapes directly on paper, or using Procreate app and Adobe Suite to help with my workflow and finalising my work.
